Well i have now picked up my visa for Vietnam and just dropped my passport in for the Chinese visa. It was all pretty easy once i found out where to go. $60 bucks later i have a 6 month multi entry visa!

I bought the lonely planet on China yesterday and it is already making me pretty excited, i found out that i can enter over land from Vietnam which will be good, one thing i noticed while reading is that most of the border crossings are called ‘Friendship Gate’, i hope it is that easy when i finally get there.

I have been selling a whole lot of my old stuff on Ebay before i go, firstly to off load things i don’t use and also to raise some Cashola! Now i hope my car sells by next Tuesday then i will be smiling all the way!

Now all I have only have to pack and then i am off! Tuesday 2pm i am outa town for a while, and with any luck everything will go pretty smoothly.

Well upon reading the smart traveller website on Vietnam, I needed to get a visa in advance. It is hard to find much information on what you need to do, and even harder to find where to go. I found a website that looked a like a con out of the 90′s website, but it was the one i was looking for. I found out that it was pretty simple and there is an office in Sydney in Suite 205 of the Edgecliffe Centre above the station. There was no information about cost, or things I needed to do or how long it would take. From India i figured i needed a Photo and some Cash. Turns out that a normal one entry Visa is about $70 for three month (no price list anywhere) i got a multiple entry for $160 for three months, and a 6 month multiple was $260, guessing a 6 month single entry would be around $140 or so. Pretty steep considering my ticket there was $186.

So I paid my cash and can pick up 3 days later. Now for Chinese Visa!
