Well upon reading the smart traveller website on Vietnam, I needed to get a visa in advance. It is hard to find much information on what you need to do, and even harder to find where to go. I found a website that looked a like a con out of the 90′s website, but it was the one i was looking for. I found out that it was pretty simple and there is an office in Sydney in Suite 205 of the Edgecliffe Centre above the station. There was no information about cost, or things I needed to do or how long it would take. From India i figured i needed a Photo and some Cash. Turns out that a normal one entry Visa is about $70 for three month (no price list anywhere) i got a multiple entry for $160 for three months, and a 6 month multiple was $260, guessing a 6 month single entry would be around $140 or so. Pretty steep considering my ticket there was $186.

So I paid my cash and can pick up 3 days later. Now for Chinese Visa!

I scored a great ticket! originally i was going to buy a round the world ticket, but i found this pretty restrictive unless you want to go to pretty standard places. I looked up on Jetstar and found a flight to Ho Chi Min City for $186 plus taxes How good is that!

I upgraded and paid an extra $10 for a movie player on the plane!

Fly out on the 17th of July at 2pm and can’t wait.
